The COVID-19 took on a toll on a lot of industries and the movie industry wasn’t left out. The release dates of some highly anticipated movies got shifted but here we are discussing the top 10 movies of 2021 so far.

There are plenty of good movies to follow up on in cinemas and on television now that the year is more than midway.

Here are the Top 10 Movies of 2021 so far I would recommend you see in no particular order.

The Top 10 Movies of 2021

What makes a great movie is a beautiful script, great characters, serious acting, perfect timing, sound, and visuals. And every one of these characteristics has been looked into in the compiling of this list.

#10 Without remorse

Navy Seal John Clark, whose pregnant wife is killed on US territory, is played by Michael B Jordan. The difficulty arises in determining why she was murdered. Who committed the crime, and what it got to do with the United States authorities.

Without Remorse is totally a one-way revenge plot, with John taking revenge for his pregnant wife and unborn baby murder. This movie is full of a lot of action.

Although this ins way might feel like watching one of the theBorunes movies all over again, it has a lot of action and twists that will convince you that it isn’t.

Personally, this is a great movie with a nice twist, great acting, perfect timing for everything. This is a movie I can watch over and over again. That is why I am adding it to one of the top 10 movies of 2021 so far

#9 Nobody

It all begins with a house intrusion, during which two low-level thieves defraud the Mansells of some cash and several valuables. Hutch has the upper hand on one of them, golf club lifted in the air, but he doesn’t take the risk of escalated aggression, much to his son’s dismay and a friend next door disgust.

Hutch reacts once it appears that the intruders have stolen Abby’s kitty-kat jewellery, and tracks them down to return it.

Personally, this is a great movie with a great storyline, perfect timing and emotions making it one of the best movies in 2021.

#8 Godzilla vs Kong.

Godzilla vs Kong is the 4th movie in the monster verse franchise and another blockbuster film. “Godzilla vs. Kong” is a crowd-pleasing, excellent beast film as well as a smooth action film.

It’s a fictional story and a science-fiction adventure movie, as well as a European, a professional wrestling spectacle. A mystery story and horror movie. Also, a loving storyline about creatures and their man companions. 

I would say I expected everything in this movie, the action, storyline, twist and all. Just like the previous monster verse movies, this was a very good one but also a very predictable one.

#7 Coming to America 2

Akeem brings Semmi down to Queens to retrieve Lavelle after Baba discloses the vision of a legitimate heir and Semmi confirms it. Lavelle, a 31-year-old attempting to establish his place on the earth is the “bastard son,” as Akeem refers to him.

Lavelle was taken back home to face the test of being an heir and to be made try crowned prints. Although this never happened as nacelle never really liked the idea and Meeka (the first daughter) who have always wanted the position and claim to have been trained for it all her life took the position

#6 Fatherhood

The epidemic has prompted men all across the globe to reflect on parenting, particularly what it entails to be a dad in 2020 and 2021. As a result, Fatherhood is perfect timing.

Matthew Logelin acted by Kelvin Hart is about to join a funeral when the film begins. Audiences discover about his wife, Liz, who died sadly due to a delivery problem, through a sequence of flashbacks. As a result, he becomes the sole parent of Maddy, the couple’s infant child.

Matt isn’t incompetent in caring for the daughter, that is not the issue. The issue is that his mother and mother-in-law, are adamant about not letting him attempt. He persuades his relatives to go back home after several weeks so he and Maddy may start living alone.

The story encompasses many years, starting with Maddy as an infant and extending through her teens. Matt faces many of the challenges that single parents experience, such as socialising and fostering freedom, although it involves allowing Maddyto make her own choices.

I see this as not just a timely movie but also a very educative one for single parents especially fathers struggling to be good parents to their children.

It is also full of humour like any movie featuring kelvin-hart

#5 Fast and furious 9

This movie is full of action and emotions but this is not surprising because it seems remarkably familiar to what we’ve seen from the Fast & Furious franchise following some modern twist.

The backstory merely served to decelerate the movie’s pace because there were no significant discoveries, only hints that Dom and Jakob may be at odds over untrusting daddy problems. This is interesting because it serves as a gentle recall to the viewer of what the fast & furious storyline has always been about.

And besides, the journey began with a man who was barred from authorized street racing after seriously injuring the driver who murdered his father in a car accident.

#4 The tomorrow war

Time travellers descend from a wormhole and disrupt the 2022 FIFA World Cup final. Aliens have attacked the future Earth, and humanity’s only hope of existence is to request the help of humans from the present.

Chris Pratt and his unique set of abilities enter the scene at this point. Pratt, unlike the rest of the recruits, has physically fought in a war and so was well experienced but leaving to fight the world would mean him leaving his young daughter.

It’s a concept for preserving an improved planet for coming generations while also correcting the wrong that previous generations have caused.

#3 Those who wish me dead

Hannah Faber, played by Angelina Jolie, is a pretty strong tough smoke jumper. One of many courageous firefighters that jump off chopper into the midst of forest fires. She became destabilized due to her failure to rescue 3 male kids and a coworker in a wildfire.

Then Hannah comes across a wandering teenage boy by the edge of a creek, whose father had just been killed. Also, he was attempting to transmit a message to the press that his father had given before he died.

So “those who wish me dead” is a narrative about a lady who is attempting to heal from her guilt. A boy who is trying to save his life as well as delivering a message to the press.

This is one of the few movies I have seen that wasn’t recommended by anyone and I really loved it. Although this movie does not have some great twists. It has a lot of emotions, great actions and a beautiful storyline

#2 Black Widow

The movie begins with a lengthy prologue that throws in further facts regarding the young Natasha Romanoff’s background and upbringing. This took place between “Captain America: Civil War” and “Avengers: Infinity War.”

Moving forward, the plot follows Natasha, a former assassin who is now a vigilante on the run from the government. This leads to a reunion with her spy family and the uncovering of a malicious program.

Natasha, her foster parents and her sister, Yelena, fought side by side for the girls’ release.

#1 A quiet place 2

The film opens with a flashback that spans several months, immediately following the occurrences of the first movie. Krasinski’s personality brutally came to an end, leaving Evelyn and their kids alone. Emily Blunt, his wife, reprises her role as Evelyn Abbott. Regan Abbot, a deaf teen actress, and Marcus Abbott, a deaf teen actor.

The Abbott family runs across an old acquaintance Emmett. He has gained increased wisdom and achievement, which served as the pillar for the second film’s climax. This is the beginning of yet another risky voyage. This might introduce new hope to the earth’s ongoing war against the savage, extraterrestrial monsters with super hearing that are haunting it.

I made this list by putting different factors into consideration. However, I don’t expect everyone to agree with the top 10 Movies of 2021 I came up with.
