• Stanford

Stanford university is without any shadow of a doubt a good place for studying. The lecturers are very good and helpful around the campus, as well as in their careers. The resources available to students is of high quality as well, such as the classrooms and study centres for students to improve on their skills.

The student life at Stanford is quite active with a wide range of societies and social life opportunities available to have a great time and make friends from all over the world.

• University of Oxford

The University of Oxford is a collegiate research university located in Oxford, England. There are no colleges, and all academic activities take place within the university.

This Ivy League school has a reputation for its world-class education in law and medicine among other subjects. It is also known for being difficult to get into.  The university accepts only 6 per cent of the applicants which makes it very selective.

UC Berkeley is one of the UC schools in the UC system. (Did everyone just yawn?) The University of California boasts nine campuses across the Golden State, including UC Berkeley, located in the city of Oakland, a little over 7 miles from San Francisco. Established in 1868, UC Berkeley is also one of the oldest functioning universities in the United States.

Princeton University is located in Princeton, New Jersey and was founded in 1746. It is one of the eight Ivy League universities. The university is home to a lot of significant scientific breakthroughs as well as an impressive number of Nobel Prize winners and Pulitzer prize winners.

The school is also part of the Research Triangle in North Carolina which helps enhance its academic standards.

Cornell is an Ivy League school located in New York state. It is a private and land-grant institution. Since its founding in 1865, t12 Nobel prize winners have been associated with the university.

The university has several undergraduate and graduate programs, including seven engineering schools, with 36 academic departments.

• Johns Hopkins University

Johns Hopkins University has become one of the most prestigious schools in the world and has consistently made the top of various rankings over the years. John Hopkins University was founded in 1875 and started in Baltimore, Maryland with only 24 students.

After several decades, Johns Hopkins has become one of the best medical schools in the world. This also earned it a spot as one of the ten best universities in the world.
