Whilst in high school, he made his debut as a stand-up comedian. In 2015, he started producing 15-second videos on Instagram. Cute Abiola gained over tens of thousands of Instagram followers. This is after making a video to support Big Brother Naija participant Bisola.

Is Abiola Missing?

Abdulgafar Ahmad Oluwatoyin, also known as lawyer Kunle or Cute Abiola. He is a comedian and skit maker who has gone missing.

Abdulgafar was last seen in his workplace in Navy Town, Lagos State, on Monday. This is according to his family members and close acquaintances.

He was said to have left home around 6 a.m. for his office, and upon arrival, he reportedly informed his wife that he was at work.

Attempts to contact him in the last 48 hours have been unsuccessful, according to family members.

However, there are now confirmed reports that he was detained by the Nigerian Navy rather than being missing all along.

Cute Abiola was detained

The Nigerian Navy has confirmed that one of its members, OSCOMP Abdulgafar A A, also known as Cute Abiola, is in custody and has not been missing.

Saluman Dahun, the Navy’s spokesperson, said Abiola, is being held in his unit for breaking the Armed Forces of Nigeria’s social media policy of posting pictures in arm force clothes.

Abdulgafar was also accused of disregarding “specific directions” issued to him, according to him.
